Yummo Oven Baked Brown Rice
Back to cooking. Tomorrow I am going to make some delightfully delicious, oven backed rice (with added stuff), and post photos and reviews. Yummy!!!! Will update this then!!
Tommy Mac "Rough Cuts" Shirtless
I am not one to fawn over guys, even well built, good looking ones such as Tommy Mac. But from the first time I saw him on his Rough Cuts show, where he made a step thingy and later a cabinet, I was hooked. Anyway, I expressed the desire to see him shirtless (like admiring art), and since then have taken a lot of kidding anytime he is on TV from both my husband and son (the last being from my son "Hey come quick Mom, he has a woody")...hahahah.
So here it is, after searching diligently online:
To tell the truth, I was a little disappointed. His shirt left a lot to the imagination, but I must say he has really strong forearms and nice abs.

A Sweater for Rocky
Rocky is a daschound that lives down the lane... er road from me. I love him so much. he has such soulful brown eyes. Anyway, his owner was having an issue finding clothing for him to wear in the winter. It sturck me as a great idea to knit a sweater for him. I purchased this pattern from a great animal rescue site and and working on the sweater. i am having issues as it is a tad more advanced than I had anticipated, but hope to finish it up within two weeks.
Here is what the sweater will look like when finished:
I hope tp have a photo of Rocky in his new sweater within a few weeks!!

KFC-- Blech
Tonight's meal was KFC, which actually was not as gross and disappointing as it usually is, however, it was a far cry from the homemade veggie soup and yummy stir fried vegetables that were initially on the menu (along with some peppers/onions/and one egg).
Anyway, I will try to not eat at KFC. They are always slow. They cheap out on the taco ingredients on Taco Tuesday and usually the KFC meals make a person feel unsatisfied and ripped off.
Also, I had some stupid question I needed to answer on a test and I marked that KFC's official name was "Kentucky Fried Chicken". (Punctuation is Canadian, don't freak) In truth they have changed their official company name to KFC. I guess KFC is easier for their target audience of preschool kids to remember.
Blech.

Vegan Vegetable Soup
Vegan Vegetable Soup
Tonight I made a huge pot of soup. This is my recipe. Take a bunch of cut up baby carrots, celery, and an onion or two. Brown this in a big soup pot with a bit of oil.
Add about 10 cups of water (or stock) and veggie stock powder.
Then I added the following:
A few handfuls of barley
Spices to taste: I used salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dash of Tabasco, some Italian seasoning and paprika.
Some baby spinach and parsley.
A can of tomato paste.
A bunch of cut of fresh beans.
Then simmer for about an hour and it's good to go.
I may add a can of black beans. Not sure yet. Photo to follow.
This was an improvement (health-wise) over my previous few nights of getting drunk.
Update: The soup was good, but I have and can do better! Will continue working the recipe.
Next up will be my kick ass Hungarian Mushroom Soup, that i have modified from several similar recipes into a vegan delight.

Dirac - The Strangest Man
My boss, Don, is one of the smartest people that I have ever met, so when he opened up an amazon box containing, (The Strangest Man), a biography of a well know (in physicality circles) physicists, I was interested. Don gave me some of the back ground about theories and some of Dirac's going over Einsteins (or something). amd I became interested. Don also mentioned that Dirac has serious issues, such as vomiting up his meals after being forced to speak to his domineering father in French only.
I have started the biography and find it readable. I will report back at a later time, when I am not so desperately intoxicated.
